Monday 26th April

On Monday we went out into the school courtyard and dug out a few small trees and some more plants. We dug the area and loosened of the soil. We are going to plant something else in this ground.

Me at Work

We had to cut down all the bushes and try to dig up the roots after we had cut a way through the branches.

Tuesday 13th April

In the school courtyard we dug out some plands that were alredy there and dug out some roots that were left from small trees.

Jobs for January

Cover ground with muck and compost
Collect seaweed
Garlic – sow
Grow garlic, broadbeans, artichokes, leeks, lettuces, onions, peas, radishes, rhubarb, salad, leaves, spinich, shallots and turnips.

Planting

We planted broad beans, garlic and hebies.

Making it look good

We got all the raised beds in line and level with each other and put chip round all of them to make it look good.

Starting the John Muir Award

First we thought about what we could do.
Then we started making raised beds out of wood. We painted them to preserve the wood.
